When I first started competitive shooting it was with my 1911 pistol. I participated in several years of indoor gun league starting with beginning pistol and working up to advanced.
I then became interested in IPDA which concentrated on competition using concealment.
I also participated in USPSA which still utilized the 1911 but added movement.
And then I found "three gun" which put all my skills together and included rifle and shotgun.
While working as an RO in Eldorado County I was introduced to several SASS members who were shooting a form of "historic three gun". There is movement-three guns-and all the firearms are single action. From that first encounter I have fallen in love with the community. I am constantly learning, improving, and best of all this group is always there to support my efforts. While I did begin reloading my own ammunition early on I now reload everything I shoot. I encourage anyone to come out and check out a SASS match. You wont be dissapointed.!
